Before we started officially dating it was more of a courtship, we went on our first official date December 23, 2021. We went to dinner at Burger Bob's, and closed the place down just talking about everything we connected on. Mostly dogs, cows, and horses. We went on a few more dinner dates just like that every other weekend. One of those nights we went to Stacy's with some friends, Sierra offered to drive and locked us out of her pickup that night. Tim learned how resourceful she could be with a pair of pliers and a radio antenna.

Our first Valentine's together after Tim finally asked Sierra to be his girlfriend on February 5th! He was very romantic and planned a special dinner that he cooked, steaks, potatoes and asparagus, he had roses on the table, and took us for a wonderful ride around the ranch!

A lot happened from that valentines day to fall, Sierra started working full time for the ranch and moved in in June. Tim was very thankful since he had a really bad horse accident that summer on his horse Kleatus. He dislocated his collarbone from his sternum and had to have surgery to fix it. The road to recovery was very long and frustrating, it is hard to be an injured rancher and limited physically. But we got him all fixed up, and his horse too, and he was finally allowed to ride him in this picture. That summer really tested the strength of our relationship and we quickly realized that we had found our person, our other half.

That fall, we got to drive down to California, to share a special day with Tim's dad and Step mom Tina. It was so wonderful! Getting to see where he grew up and meet his childhood friends, and his family! It was a fun road trip and our first ever! Minus our puppy Newt deciding he needed to go number two while we were driving through Reno....moral of the story there was no where to pull over in the moment.

Our first Christmas and New years together! Yes the black Christmas tree that Tim had did not get set up that year! Instead we went tree hunting and found the cutest little tree with lots of pinecones on it! Got our first stockings together and yes each dog had their own! We entered the new year with so much love and a lot of things were changing in our lives at the time, for the better of course! Over the next few months we hunkered down for the most brutal winter we have seen in awhile and made it to the end of calving season being each others support with very little argument.

The end of a long winter is always our favorite, but branding season is something both of us really enjoy! That specific branding was like a breath of fresh air to everyone and we roped, branded, cut nuts, and partied afterwards, dancing the long calving season away to good music and with a great group of people who have surrounded us. One year down together and we both knew that this was it for us!

This is the summer we really got to work with each other. Side by side doing what we both love! Coming from two slightly different ranching backgrounds this is where we found we may head butt a little. "We should push the cows that direction because it will work better." "We shouldn't push the cows that direction because the other way is the way I've always done it." Needless to say working on our second year together had the growing pains a relationship will always run into. In the end we always resolved it and there was always a compromise. To live this life you really have to love what you are doing, to live this life with someone else they have to love it as much as you do, but always love each other more.

As we grew our herd grew too! Five dogs, four horses! There is nothing better than sharing your life with someone that is just as enthusiastic about the same things you are! We are truly blessed to have each other and all our animals! Ending our second year together, little did Sierra know but before this picture was even taken, Tim had already set the future in motion by getting the ring made.

Another year! Calving season again! Sierra was night calving and training a few horses, one afternoon, Tim needed help getting the neighbors cow out of our field! Little did she know that Katelyn (the neighbor) was hiding with camera and Tim had a ring burning a hole in his pocket. It was a beautiful spring day, now we rode by the cow, Sierra saw the cow, Tim said there is another cow, (there was not), then Sierra saw Katelyn hiding and started asking questions. Tim got off his horse and was concerned about Oakley's foot suddenly, (there was nothing wrong with Oakley). Then suddenly he got down on one knee.... you all know the rest! (we still had to get the cow in) Both missions that day were successful, and all now lead to the wonderful day we all get to share together June 21st. We both cannot wait to see everyone and share our special day with you all!
